Young Minds Matter Re-commissioned the formerly known CAMHs service and have re-branded the new service to be called Young Minds Matter. What Have We Done? Online counselling for 11 -25 year olds, supporting with a range of emotional wellbeing & mental health issues. Access to peer-to-peer support, articles, forums & a trained counsellor. This service aims to enhance the digital offer for children/young people. Are You OK? Cards. Ensuring that children & young people can be signposted to relevant & trustworthy information, advice & support available in their local area. CBT principles being used by school nursing & youth offending service & some voluntary staff. Children & young people can access low level support for mental health & emotional wellbeing concerns. School nursing text service available for young people aged 11 -19 years, to anonymously contact a school nurse for support on a range of emotional & physical concerns or to ask to see a School Nurse face-to-face.
Newly established school links team providing: • • • Training courses/packages to schools Direct e-mail address for school professionals to contact the team to discuss concerns regarding a child or young person Psycho-education/well-being workshops Rolling out Youth Mental Health Peer Support Training Scheme across all secondary schools over the next 2 years With the aim to improve professionals knowledge & skills when supporting children & young people with low level emotional concerns in the school environment Workforce training including: • A range of anti-stigma campaigns to encourage children & young people to speak about MH & emotional wellbeing concerns. 8 short films produced locally. YMHFA/MHFA • YMHFA/MHFA Lite • PNMH Cascade Training Schools & colleges are nominating designated SEMH • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Essentials champions for young people to speak about issues before they • Specialist Courses (e. g. selfharm, eating disorders etc. ) escalate • School Links Team training offer • Stepping Stones Parenting Courses
