Car seat market • Expensive items compared to other countries (Evenflo Symphony Hamilton 3 in 1 $230 US vs $440 Mx) • • No standard regulation No specific sale promotions related to safety No tax or “safety-product” incentives Strong presence of “cheap” products with no certification • No local production. Brands • 3 local brands (D´Bebé, Infanti and Prinsel (Ferrari licence)) with no certificated products (most of them), imported from China • Only one brand with Mexican office: Evenflo (Has been working on advocacy for the past 5 years) • Brands opening Mexican contact: Britax, RECARO, Brevi. • Other imported brands: Chicco, Safety 1 st, Eddie Bauer, Baby Trend, Graco. . .
