The Child Development Education Program To educate students in early care and education and to support them in achieving their personal career and professional goals.

California State Requirement for childcare worker 1. At least 18 years old 2. High school diploma or GED 3. 12 units of early childhood education 4. At least six months of experience in a licensed infant care center for children under five years of age 5. Experience must be completed within 50 days during the six-month period and no less than three hours per day.

SAC Curriculum §Child Development – Early Intervention and Inclusion § 37 units a grade of ‘C’ or better §Meets CA the title 5 requirements §Child Development, Associate of Science (AS) § 28 units a grade of ‘C’ or better §Graduates may be employed at the teacher or master teacher level §School Age Child - Specialization §Certification exceeds the title 22 requirements for a fully qualified teacher §Must complete 31 -33 units of required course
