Project summary The Dept Planning and Development is seeking to acquire the 4. 5

Project summary The Dept Planning and Development is seeking to acquire the 4. 5 acre former industrial property at 3737 W Cortland next at the west end of the 606. In an area with a demonstrated need for affordable housing, DPD will acquire the property with a goal to include a 100% affordable project with 150 affordable housing units, and reserve the space adjacent to the 606 for public park space. Timeline • • Community Development Commission City Council – acquisition authority • • 2 Q 2019 Complete acquisition of property from Trust for Public Land City to demolish building and environmental remediation • 3 Q 2019 City to market the site for Low Income Housing Tax Credit proposals from affordable housing developers to build out this space
