CHATHAM-KENT HOSPICE FOUNDATION Our Mission: The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation secures contributions to support compassionate end-of-life experiences for clients of the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Our Vision: We will become a preferred charity in Chatham-Kent, providing financial sustainability for the Chatham-Kent Hospice through fundraising activities and the establishment of an endowment fund. Our Values: Excellence: We are committed to excellence in everything we do; to exceeding the expectations of our donors, volunteers and hospice partners. Collaboration: We are committed to collaborating with our internal and external stakeholders recognizing that we can achieve more by working together. Respect: We hold ourselves to the highest of ethical standards. We will respect privacy and confidentiality. Major Gifts should be substantial. • • Extraordinary for both donor and organization Typical definition = 100 times an average annual gift (i. e. $88 x 100 = $8, 800) 3. Major Gifts should be transformative. • Create opportunities than have a permanent impact 4. Major Gifts warrant one-on-one attention. • Result of a donor relationship that is created over time 5. Major Gifts depend on the maturity of the development history • Prospective leads being developed and nurtured (i. e. Kent Hospice.
