Who Are We? Independent Charity linked to The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Formed in 1917 for dependents of “Masseuers” killed in action on the Western Front Support members and ex members in need Income from Investment Fund… …AND Supported by the CSP with Annual Grant (+ admin & finance support) Assisted 77 people last year with mixture of Monthly Allowances, one -off grants, equipment purchase and CSP subscriptions 25 application in 2014 compared to 10 in 2010

More Information becomes available… • Statistics provided for conferences • Explain to CSP members that we assist people of THEIR age, THEIR colleagues, and not “all the retired physios”! • Increased applications therefore increased help to members • Greater giving at conferences • Encourage greater awareness that things do go wrong / accidents happen so ‘Be Prepared’ • Reassurance that the MBF will try to assist colleagues in need.
Benefits • Been able to prove what we are doing • Show the Chartered Society how we are spending their money • Used the statistics to inform the profession about the MBF • Use the statistics to show the trends and therefore get extra funding • Easily put together Addresss list / Birthday list etc • Looked at long term cases to assess in more detail and arrange to visit • Put 2 beneficiaries in touch with the same rare illness To name but a few…
