Characterisation is a term used to describe the way a character is developed by the author. Gradually as a story progresses more of a character’s personality should be revealed.
Characterisation Characters should not just follow a path through the story giving no insight into their personalities, attitudes, interests, thoughts or feelings.
Characterisation Readers want to know about the characters so you need to provide that information.
