INTENTIONS + ACTIONS = WILL • You can have all the great thoughts in the world, but if you don’t act on them it doesn’t equal anything. • Many leaders have great thoughts to do the right thing, but it doesn’t amount to much of anything unless you act. Remember that love is a verb. • Intentions represent the thoughts that you have when you see an opportunity to help, act, or do something when you notice someone in need. • Both the (+) and the (–) represent the same thing, which is a CHOICE. • This means that the entire servant-leadership triangle starts with a choice to act or not act. • Understanding the power of choice is important to understanding this model of servant-leadership. • Remember that Character can be defined as WHO YOU ARE and is BUILT by the thousands of CHOICES that you make daily. • Each time we make the harder choice to align our intentions with our actions we are building our character muscle and becoming more Character. Strong. • It is important that we discipline ourselves in the small daily choices we make so that when big moments happen, especially moments of adversity, we are prepared to demonstrate strong character.
