Strengths 1 to 4 • The first 4 strengths we are going to look at are Love, Curiosity, Gratitude and Self-Control. • What do you think each of these strengths mean? • Let’s look at each one more closely! www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
Love • This strength is one of the most powerful and important ones! • People with this strength are loving, caring, kind and thoughtful. • They think about other people’s needs and try their best to help others to feel better. • Why do you think this is one of the most powerful strengths? www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
Curiosity • Being curious means wanting to find out more about things. • Curious people enjoy doing new things, they ask lots of questions and love exploring and finding out about new ideas. • Being curious is more important than being clever for doing well in school. Can you think of why? www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
Gratitude • Having Gratitude means feeling thankful for all the little things that you are so lucky to have in your life. • It means thinking about all the things that you have instead of thinking about the things you don’t have. • Being grateful can make you feel happy… why do you think so? www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
Self-Control • Having Self-Control means being able to control your actions. • People who have Self-Control think about what is the right thing to do. • Then, they try hard to do it, even if they don’t really want to! • How can Self-Control help you in school? www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
This Week’s Strengths • Who can you name with any of these strengths? Think about people you know, famous people from the past or present and characters from films or books. • Do you think you have a lot of any of these strengths? • Think for a moment and remember a time recently when you showed one of these strengths. How did it make you feel? www. otb. ie/WWB www. weavingwellbeing. com
