Cognitus is a forgotten philosopher king. He was a pharaoh during the late period of Ancient Egypt. An avid follower of Plato and a believer of his philosophy of the divisions of the soul, but viewed the mind being far more complex than that of just the rational immortal part of the soul. Cognitus opined that the head had a tripartite structure of its own and was organized into the Lower, Middle and High realms of the head. The Lower mind served as a regulator of passions rising up from the perceptions of the mortal soul. The middle part of the head processed activities such as weighing of options to maximize personal gain. In the higher mind, all thoughts of selfawareness, reflection of previous actions and the purpose of one’s life were stored. His beliefs could be argued to be an early footprint of 20 th century cognitive psychology.

Lewie was always the last to be picked for P. E. . He could hear the audible dissatisfaction from his peers when his teachers would inevitably pair him with someone or place him in a group, after he tried his darnedest to avoid these uncomfortable situations. In fact, he avoided people in general. It was funny that people knew of him enough to give him a nickname at all; his name was Lewis. What’s even funnier is the fact that even as an adult, Lewis hadn’t changed much. His coworkers avoided his neurotic, particular and frustrating nature as much as they could. The most cathartic moment of the day was when he would lock the deadbolt of his bachelor apartment, sealing the outside world for one more night.
