Traffic Laws • Most crimes require that intent be proved. This is not true in the case of most traffic laws

• An officer must be called to investigate all accidents where total damage exceeds $1000. 00 or involves injuries.
• Most traffic violations are classified as Class C misdemeanors.
• Intentionally running over someone with a car is not a traffic violation • It is assault
• If involved in an accident, the driver must produce: – Driver’s license – Registration – Proof of insurance
Reckless Driving • Willful or wanton disregard for life or property
Exhibition Driving • A driver does not have to exceed the speed limit in order to receive a citation for exhibition driving.
