KEY POINTS • Bepin Babu’s meeting with Parimal Ghose. • In the beginning of the lesson, it told that every monday, Bepin Babu used to stop on a book shop. He used to buy some books as Crime stories, ghost stories and thrillers. • One day, he met Parimal Ghose but he did not recognize him. Parimal Ghose has already identified him and also narrated the Ranchi incident. He told about every thing-bungalow, Dinesh Mukerji and pain his knee but listening whole story he refused to accept these things. • But Parimal Ghose again told him about his personal things such as family including wife, kids and death of his brother. After meeting with Parimal Ghose , Bepin Babu began to ponder over the incident of Ranchi, he was thinking, why he was not able to recall the incident. Whether it was untrue or he was losing his memory. • He also thought about the man who knew everything about him. So for confirmation he saw his right knee. • Then he thought about Dinesh Mukerji. He also thought to ring up him. At last he talked to him. He also confirms the incident of Ranchi after office work Bepin Babu returned home. He laid down on the bed and again began to think about that incident. • At seven thirty Bepin Babu ‘s servant told him that Mr. Chunni Lal wants to meet you which is so urgent. Chunni asked him for money but Bepin Babu refused. Besides he began to confirm about the incident of Ranchi and his last job just to verify. If he was losing his memory or not. But Chunni Lal also replied positively. Then Bepin Babu called Dr. Paresh Chanda for treatment.

SUMMARY In the vey begninng of the story, it told about the habit and work of Bepin Babu that on every Monday he used to stop on a book shop to purchase the books of his interest. But one day , he encountered with Parimal Ghose, who had recognised Mr. Bepin Babu. but Bepin refused to identify him. As proof, Mr. Ghose narrate him Ranchi incident but Bepin replied that he had never been to Ranchi and told that I don’t know Ghose also. Later Ghose described him his personal details as family-wife and kids , Dinesh Mukerji, his bunglow etc. But Bepin Babu was not ready to believe. Bepin thought over it. He was confused whether he Ghose was telling lie or he was losing his memory. Then he decided to ring up Dinesh Mukerji. So that he could confirm the matter. He talked to Dinesh but he also replied in positive and recollected all other events also hearing all his head began to spin. Next day when he reached home from office, his servant told him that Mr. Chunni Lal wanted to meet with Bepin Babu for economical help but Bepin Babu refused. he wanted to confirm the matter. In reply , Chunni also positively replied. Now he called for Dr. Paresh Chanda, who gave him remedy. At the end of the lesson , Bepin himself went to Hudroo. When he reached Hudroo , he felt unconsciousness there. Whe opened his eyes , he found himself in Calcutta. Few minutes later Bepin's servant brought a letter which was describing Chunni’s revenge. Now Bepin understood all the matter. When Dr. Chanda again came to treat him, he was totally surprised when Bepin told him that he was better now. He just needed a pain killer as he has fallen in Ranchi.
