Progressivism: a movement that sought to make life better through reform. � Progressives had three goals: � � 1. Curb (end) corruption and unfair practices in government, industry, labor, and society. � 2. Give people more say in governing; be more democratic. � 3. Use the government to improve quality of life. � It is the government’s responsibility to help create a safe, productive, sustainable environment.
