Check the victim • DO NOT MOVE THE VICTIM UNLESS THEY ARE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER!!! • Look and assess for 4 life threatening conditions 1. unconscious 2. no signs of circulation 3. no breathing 4. severe bleeding
To provide care to a victim you must provide the following information: • Who you are • Your level of training • What it is you would like to do • Ask permission to help
Unconscious victim=implied consent • Implied consent means you automatically get permission to help someone. • A child who does not have an adult present gives implied consent.

Call First • Unconscious adult, child or infant but breathing • Child or infant with heart conditions Care Firstafter 2 minutes of care then call 911 1. unconscious child under 12. 2. drowning 3. severe bleeding ie. Bleeding to death
