Thirty-three percent of the population is said to be Christians, 13 percent of the population follows indigenous, which are religions that originate in that tribe, or that part of the country. Chad’s constitution states the freedom of Religion. That means that people can follow any Religion they choose, but it will still be monitored by the government. The reason that the government have placed restrictions on certain religious groups, is so they would not violate the rights of others. Another reason is to keep everything safe and organized. Overall, the restrictions that are placed on Religions are bad in the people of Chad’s eyes because they are not able to express their selves, but in a way it is a good thing because everything will not get out of hand.
