PATHOGENESIS: u In spite of large size it causes little inconvenience to the patient. u u It may lead to vague abdominal discomfort, indigestion and diarrheoea. Proglottides crawling leading to alarm and embarrassment. Diagnosis : u Presence of proglottides in stool. u Wet mount of stool for typical ova. Treatment : u Niclosamide, Praziquantel and Bithionol. Prophylaxis: u Examination of Beef for cysticerci, and proper cooking of Beef
