CITP Credential Requirements • Maintain an AICPA membership in good standing • Hold a valid and unrevoked CPA certificate or license issued by a legally constituted state authority • Pass the CITP examination ‒ A CPA license is not a requirement to sit for the CITP exam ‒ A CPA license is required to become a CITP credential holder • Meet minimum business experience requirement ‒ 1, 000 hours of CITP related business experience within the five-year period preceding the date of the CITP application; or Full-time professor and have taught at least four accredited college courses, with 50% of the material included in the CITP body of knowledge 4

Exam Requirement The CITP exam is a four-hour computer based exam comprised of 160 multiple-choice questions • Upcoming 2020 CITP exam session windows: Exam Window 5 Dates Registration Deadline Feb 2020 Feb 1 – 28, 2019 Jan 24, 2020 May 1 – 31, 2019 April 24, 2020

CITP Experience Requirement Experience Minimum of 1, 000 hours* of CITP-related business experience in the CITP body of knowledge. For candidates in academia, a qualified credential holder would be a full-time professor and have taught at least four accredited college courses, with 50% of the material included in the CITP body of knowledge * All experience and education hours must have been obtained within the 5 -year period preceding the date of the credential application. 6
