Verification of Recommendation of Certification Form • The completed verification form will be mailed to the student after commencement and after certification documents have been processed; usually within a week • This document may be provided to schools systems when applying for employment to verify certification recommendation until you receive your teaching certificate from ALSDE • Keep original and provide a copy to each school system

Important Information • TES personnel will obtain your UM transcript(s) and will contact you if a document or transcript is needed • Students who are employed on an IEC, Interim Employment Certificate, must still apply for the permanent 5 -year certificate

Apply Now! • You have 5 years from your graduation date to submit an ALSDE certification application. …do not wait! • Current ALSDE and UM requirements apply at the time of certification application.

Certificate Information • If all certification requirements have been met, typically, ALSDE will issue your certificate 8 -10 weeks following commencement • Certificates are valid for five years and all renewal requirements must be met prior to expiration • Forms and information are located at http: //www. alsde. edu
