Work together with CMS q CMS – KCMS monthly meeting – Guido TONELLI & Inkyu PARK meet every month • Exchange current issues, report Korean activities, etc • Plan for next collaboration, upgrade q PAG (Conveners to CMS Conveners) – 6 Physics Analysis Groups work together with CMS PIGs • Higgs, Heavy Ion, QCD, BSM, SUSY, Extra. D q RPC (SK Park – RPC / Giuseppe Iaselli) – RPC production, DPG activities • RPC RE 1/1, 1/2 & CMS upgrade during 2012 q Tier 2 (DC Son – CMS computing ) – KNU successfully operates a CMS Tier 2 • Resource upgrade needed 7 Inkyu Park
Summary q The initial 3 years (2007 -2009) of KCMS allowed a successful start-up toward a real promising CMS collaboration q We are producing now many interesting data analyses with 7 Te. V data – Expect major results / publications from KCMS q Additional R&D budget are necessary and mandatory (1 MCHF for 2012 -2013, 2015 -2016) – ~ 200 k. CHF for 5 years 8 Inkyu Park
