CERN stuff Chamber running… • Running with kill_input parameter on DMB to kill specific chamber components (such as one CFEB or ALCT), rather than entire chamber • Track Finder firmware updated with old core Asynchronous FIFO rolled back to one which is 2 bx faster… • Found that upgrade to new XDAQ version (library used to send SOAP messages between processes in Run Control) has a bug of not waiting long enough before it times-out… – Symptom: In the midst of configuring the Track Finder crate (lots of VME), the TTCci began to configure (hard reset, resync) – Work-around: • Remove TF from Configuration sequence (do it by hand). • Use “Global” configuring for “Local” runs does not do full configuration CSC Shifts: • Discussion at EMU meeting regarding CSC Shifts: How will they be implemented, etc. Tom Ferguson has been appointed CSC Shift Guru. CERN stuff Global Runs • “Mid-week Global Run” taking place Wednesday. Thursday… CSC to be included during the evenings on Wednesday and Thursday… – Goals: • 3 bx less than in CRUZET-3 (2 bx from TF, 1 bx from TMB) • Maximize CSC participation using kill_input parameter “The List”: • There is a small window of opportunity to get in to fix onchamber electronics which is known to be broken when the CSCs are • Jason, Jianhui, Misha, Ben, and Vladimir assembling list of chambers with either “My List” • Make sure CSC behaves during mid-week global Run • Make “action matrix” for CSC problems during such runs • Write TTCrx. Fine. Delay setting code to do fine timing alignment of TTC CCB signals
