CEP 811 Stair Project Who is the audience? 11 th and 12 th grade Career and College Goals course (Online) This module will serve as a lesson to help high school students explore career & college/educational goals and resources. Two assessments are provided. Objectives The learner will understand how to establish goals for the future. The learner will understand how to make correct career and college/educational choices. Standards (California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum) 3. 1 Know the personal qualifications, interests, aptitudes, information, and skills necessary to succeed in careers. 3. 2 Understand the scope of career opportunities and know the requirements for education, training, and licensure. 3. 3 Develop a career plan that is designed to reflect career interests, pathways, and post secondary options. 3. 6 Know important strategies for self-promotion in the hiring process, such as job applications, résumé writing, interviewing skills, and preparation of a portfolio
Introduction The object of this module is to guide students through what they need to know to make smart career or college/educational choices. The goal is to provide online students a plan to become successful in the workforce or entering college. Short and direct (who, what, when, where, why, which) - I will have a 3. 8 GPA at the beginning of my senior year M-Measurable –Establish concrete criteria for measuring progress toward the achievement of each goal you set. The GPA is the measure A-Attainable/Acceptable- When you identify goals that are most important to you, you begin to figure out ways you can make them come true.
