New in Census 2010 Short, Short form—Everyone received the short form questionnaire, which was used to enumerate people and asked only a few basic questions. n No Long form—A sample of people were randomly selected to receive the long form. The long form included not only all short form questions, but also solicited a wide range of information about individuals’ demographic, economic, social, and housing characteristics. In Census 2000, approximately 1 in 6 individuals were enumerated on the long form. Census 2010 is the first decennial census that will not use a long form. n 5: 40
