HISTORY OF THE CAMERA PHONE • in 1997 - Philippe Kahn, used a Camera phone he made to send photos of his daughter’s birth to over 2, 000 people worldwide • Kahn developed the Starfish Software Platform, which he described as the ability to "Enter or edit information anywhere” • Kahn sold Starfish to Nokia in 1998 for $325 million and It remains an integral part of the Nokia Platform today
