Cell Cycle Stop Animation What to Include: • Create a stop animation film showing ALL the phases of cell cycle (Mitosis) for a PLANT- 6 chromosomes; ANIMAL- 4. You will be assigned either plant or animal cell. JD/GS • Must create a team “logo”. Ex: • Must include your logo in the background of EVERY slide • Using vocaroo. com, or other choice, your group must narrate each slide with relevant information. (Maximum of 10 seconds per slide)
• Materials: pipe cleaners, play-doh, string to illustrate structures, etc. Be creative. • Must label each slide with appropriate stage name: – Interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, cytokinesis • Must label the following structures in each phase that they are found in: – Chromosomes, sister chromatids, centromere, spindle fibers, centriole, cleavage furrow/cell plate, nuclear membrane, daughter cells, PM • Import photos from camera into Power Point. Set the timer to advance the slides automatically in PPT. • On the last slide type up a comparison for mitosis for your cell type versus the other cell type. Ex: Plant vs Animal. What are the structural differences in this process? ? • Email me project by 5 pm Friday, Feb. 9. javons@ fortmillschools. org or share with javons@fmsdmail. org
