Celebration of Baptism We rejoice in the baptism of Elliott Jeffrey Yeager and welcome him into the body of Christ.

The 500 th anniversary of the Reformation is fast approaching. We are celebrating with a book sale. Please make checks payable to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, memo line Reformation 500. Orders are due today.

Reformation Sunday is October 29. In addition to our 10: 30 a. m. worship service that day, we invite you to join in an ecumenical service of baptismal unity at 3: 30 pm at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Jeff and Fr. Ron Wearsch, of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will lead the service celebrating the 500 th anniversary of the Reformation. Please join us for both services that day, and remember to wear red if you are able to.

Congregation News Opening our hearts and homes. We will be sharing our service and welcoming a guest speaker from Food For The Poor the weekend of November 4 and 5. We are in need of someone to pick him up from the airport Friday, November 3, and drop him off Sunday, November 5. We are also in need of a place for him to stay the nights of November 3 and 4. If you can meet either of these needs, please contact the church office at 440 -933 -6263. All Saints’ Day will be recognized during our worship service on Sunday, November 5. If you’d like to honor the memory of someone who passed away in 2017, please contact the church office by Monday, October 30. The name of your loved one or friend will be listed in the bulletin for the worship service on All Saints’ Day.

The middle school and high school youth groups will be hosting an indoor Trick or Treat event on Sunday, October 22 from 1 -3 p. m. All children and families are invited to attend this fun, safe, fall event. Classrooms will be decorated and children can stay dry as they go door-to-door to collect treats. There are sign-up sheets, on the bulletin board, for donations and to help at the event.

Flowers Today’s flowers are given by Eric and Cathy Mohney, in celebration of their wedding anniversary.

Anchor News Christ Lutheran’s High School Youth Group ASP deposit is due on October 22. The first $50 deposit, for those going on the ASP Mission Trip in June 2018, is due October 22 (youth and adults). Please make checks payable to the church, noting ASP Deposit on the memo line. Checks can be turned into the church office, Rob Nordman, or Pastor Jeff. Please see Rob Nordman or Pastor Jeff with questions. ASP Sub Sale – The annual OSU/Michigan sub sale is coming in November. More information coming soon.
