What is a Rural Exception Site? • Within the village envelope so residents are able to use the services • Has the support of the community • Meets evidenced local need (HNS) • Homes remain in local occupancy in perpetuity for local need • Development should be appropriate to the size of the village. • Uses land otherwise unavailable for development • Land priced below market values.
