What is e-invoicing? E-invoicing is the electronic exchange of formatted invoice data between a sender and receiver. The exchange is dependent on an integration between the IT systems of sender and receiver, or the use of a 3 rd party platform to facilitate the exchange. Email with attachments, such as PDF, are not considered e-invoicing.

The Basic architecture of Tradeshift Sender account Receiver account SUPPLIER BUYER 1 Both the sender and receiver must have an account on Tradeshift 2 Both parties must have accepted a mutual connection between the accounts 3 Users then decide for themselves how they want to interact with Tradeshift
There are four basic options for interaction with Tradeshift WEB Sender account SUPPLIER Large suppliers tend to use the file transfer or API Receiver account Connector File transfer API 1 Web interface (PO flip / manual invoice creation / document uploader) 2 Connectors for large ERP and online accounting systems 3 File transfer via FTP, SFTP, FTPS 4 Integrate with our API BUYER
Document flow through Tradeshift Sender account Receiver account File Transfer/API SUPPLIER BUYER <XML> 1 The document is sent / stored in the sender’s account 2 A copy of the document is made automatically, and sent / stored in the receiver’s account 3 Both parties have their own document archive, stored for a minimum of 10 years 4 The receiver can retrieve their documents automatically.
