The Accountability/Safety Officer shall be accessible at all times at the fire scene for personnel to report to. Carver Fire Department Accountability System Tier One Accountability: When the I/C determines that the incident is IDLH (immediately dangerous to life and health), there will be an announcement that Tier 1 accountability is in effect. Carver Fire Department Accountability System Ø Firefighters on first due apparatus should tag on truck mounted ring (interior overhead) prior to arrival at suspected IDLH incidents Ø All others entering the IDLH zone and no on scene accountability has been established , tags should be affixed to pump panel ring of 1 st arriving piece, Ø No firefighter will be allowed into the IDLH without an ID tag. Carver Fire Department Accountability System Ø Door person is responsible for the collection of tags from the previous locations Ø Door person shall help ensure FF Safety by checking PPE (quick visual inspection) when taking tag Ø Firefighters will attach tags to ring on their respective pieces of apparatus for incidents with multiple points of entry, with no doorperson assigned, . Carver Fire Department Accountability System Ý Upon termination of the incident, the door person shall inform the AO/SO when the accountability ring is empty and everyone is clear of the hazard area. Ý If no doorperson is used, the AO/SO or I/C will confirm by checking the ring at the central location that all personnel are clear of the hazard area. Ý During brush fire responses, all tags shall be affixed to the ring in the right front seat of each breaker. This includes all firefighters responding to the scene in their own private vehicle.
