Carnivora BY MARK
What are Carnivora? The order Carnivora is a group of mammals. The group is divided into the "catlike" Feliformia and the "dog-like" Caniformia. Animals of the order Carnivora are carnivores, a term which applies to all flesh-eaters. Many species of Carnivora are actually omnivores, and a few of them, like the Giant Panda, eat mostly plants. The order includes aquatic relatives in the superfamily Pinnipedia, the walruses and seals.
Caniformia - Canidae
What are Canidae? Canidae is a family of carnivorous and omnivorous mammals of the order Carnivora. Animals that belong to the family Canidae are called canids. The family Canidae is divided into two tribes: Vulpini ("true foxes"), and Canini ("true dogs"). Canids of the tribe Vulpini (foxes) are called "vulpines". Canids of the tribe Canini (wolves, dogs, coyotes and others) are called "canines". Some people call these canids "canines", but this is wrong.

What are Feliformia? Feliformia is a suborder in the mammal order Carnivora. It contains all the Felidae, which are cat-like animals. The suborder also contains the relatives of the cats, which includes hyaenas, civets, and more. They range natively across all continents except Australia and Antarctica. Family Felidae are the best-known of "cat-like" carnivorans
Feliformia Felidae
What are Felidae? Felidae is a family of mammals, in the order Carnivora. Animals that belong to Felidae are called felids. There are 41 living species, including the domestic cat, and they are monophyletic: all descended from the same ancestor. Felids tend to have lithe and flexible bodies with muscular limbs. They walk on their toes. The paws have with soft toe pads and retractible claws (usually). The tongue of felids is covered with horny papillae, which rasp meat from prey and aid in grooming.
