How was this activity born? This activity was born casually. I always liked modelling clay and after finishing school, I went to Caltagirone, the home of Sicilian pottery, to learn my future job. When did you start your activity? I started it 20 years ago.
Why have you decided to open this activity in Noto? Because Noto is my town and I want to live here.
Did you have any difficulties to open this activity? No, I didn’t. Just the time to overcome bureaucratic problems. Is it necessary to have a predisposition to start this kind of business? No, it isn’t. You only need passion.
What do you make in your lab? I make plates, bowls and many other objects.
Do you export your objects? No, I don’t. I sell my objects locally. Which period of the year do you sell more? I sell my products in any period of the year.
What is your favourite object? I like making owls.
What kind of customers do you have? I have more tourists than local customers. How did you sponsor your business? The best advertising is word of mouth. I have never used social network or leafleting.
