2020 Update Alliance of IEEE Consultants' Networks Coordinating Committee • 2 nd Quarter Consultants’ Networks Newsletter • Actively assessing Consultants’ Networks health and vitality • Response to COVID-19 Published July 2020 (How consultants are “staying afloat” during the crisis) – Contacting U. S Consultants’ Networks to identify common issues facing independent consultants – Monitor IEEE Collabratec and IEEE-USA Linked. In to address consultants’ questions and concerns – Develop two webinars on how consultants can adjust and remain in business during a crisis (June 18 th & Aug TBD) – 2020 Consultant’s Fee Survey underway and updated to identify COVID-19 impacts 7
2020 Update Licensure & Registration Committee • Author Electric Engineering PE Exam Questions – Computer Based Testing transition support – Update Electrical/Computer PE exam due to elimination of Software Engineer exam – Educating IEEE members regarding free exam preparation tools – 2020 exams were cancelled due to COVID-19 • Promote Licensure and Registration – Two articles submitted to IEEE-USA Insight and updates to Today’s Engineer articles are in progress – Identify new services and benefits to IEEE members • Develop Recommendation on Existing and Proposed Laws and Regulations 8
