How Well Do You Know Your Directions?

Cardinal Directions North is the direction at the top of the compass rose.

South is the direction at the bottom of the compass rose. South

West is the direction to the left on the compass rose.

East is the direction to the right on the compass rose.

Intermediate Directions Northeast is the direction to the right on the compass rose between North and East.

Southeast is the direction to the right on the compass rose between South and East.

Southwes t Southwest is the direction to the left on the compass rose between South and West.

Northwest is the direction to the left on the compass rose between North and West.
