HIV & AIDS BACKGROUND ¨ In 2002/3, District AIDS Council established. ¨ May 2003, DAC convenes first its workshop. ¨ Recommendations adopted – Basis for future work. ¨ 2002 Annual Antenatal Survey – HIV Prevalence 13. 89% and in 2003 at 20%.
