P region development of curricula tailored to representatives of local and regional public authorities; design and implementation of e-courses, short-term training courses, visiting scholar programs, seminars and exchanges of best practices; design of an Erasmus programme for local and regional representatives 5
Tasks for the period beyond 2020 Increasing the ownership of Ea. P countries in developing capacity-building for local and regional public administration in the region Evaluating and identifying the most appropriate platform should go hand in hand with the development of the curricula Enhancing the participation of representatives of the EP in the region for the development of people-to-people contacts and exchange of experience Options: • short-term courses on a rotating basis by members of a virtual network of Public Administration Schools from all Ea. P countries, and may include external partners • possibility to establish an Ea. P Academy for Public Administration • online courses can provide an excellent opportunity to test and further refine the curricula 6
Increasing the capacity of local and regional administration in Ea. P countries, in the context of existing capabilities, may be related to the following areas of activities of the CORLEAP: 1 improvement of the evidence base of decisions, which includes the organization of research, preparation of reports on this topic 2 development of joint recommendations to public, local and regional authorities 3 organizational support for capacity building initiatives 7
