A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY: • Around since March 27, 1918, one of the oldest high schools in Ohio – The original building is on Market Ave. North • Named after President William Mc. Kinley and his sister, Anna, who taught in Canton for 30 years • Was one of four high schools in Canton by 1943, but in 1976 Canton closed them, keeping only Timken and Mc. Kinley, but Mc. Kinley had moved to the present location. – This past February they merged Timken and Mc. Kinley, keeping the freshman at Timken and the Mc. Kinley colors and mascot
