Daffodil key messages • Daffodil Month is a national fundraising campaign held every April to raise money for the CCS to continue it’s work in the fight against cancer. • Progress is being made. The overall cancer survival rate has increased from 25% in the 1940 s to 60% today. Together, we are making an impact! • With nearly 1 in 2 Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and a nearly 35% surge in cancer cases anticipated by 2030 due to our growing and aging population, now more than ever, we need your generous support. • 55% of high-priority research projects went unfunded last year, we need your support to fund more research and save more lives in 2018. • This April when you donate, proudly wear a daffodil as a sign of your commitment to the fight against cancer.
