Summary Canada has a high level of citizen well-being. Canada has a strong commitment to Freedom – to Individual Freedom and Press Freedom as well as to Social Progress and increasing the Strength, Stability and Legitimacy of the State. The most important issue in Canada is the low but improving level of Gender Equality. Other causes of concern include an increase in violence and a decrease in Social Cohesion, as well as low levels of Environment Protection and Environment Quality.
