How is Toby and Adam and Eve’s dilemma similar? How is it different? How did Adam and Eve know they shouldn’t eat the apple? Is this similar or different to Toby? God told them to not eat the apple, but God hasn’t directly told Toby not to eat it. If he believes in God he may not be sure what God wants him to do. Where could he look for God’s guidance?

The Bible If Toby believed in God and was a CHRISTIAN he would probably look in the bible to help him when faced with a moral dilemma, or ask someone who knows the bible well e. g. a priest. But where did the bible come from?

After Adam and Eve are told to leave the Garden of Eden humans forget about God. They start to care more about money. Some believed in lots of Gods. Christians believe God chose special people to be his messengers (prophets. ) He told these messengers important things humans could do to become his friend again and find true happiness – some of these messages involved rules. Quickly – if you were God, think of one rule would you give humans?

God’s People Christians believe that the first messenger came about 4000 years ago, he was called Abraham. People who listened to him became known as God’s people or the Jews.

Sadly about 1000 years later the Jews were captured by the Egyptians and forced into slavery! But God helped them.
