Word classes • This week we are going to explore and write kennings. • Kennings are a type of poem. • To be able to write a kenning, you need to know what determiners and nouns are.
What is a noun? A noun is an object (or thing), a place or a peron. There are different types of nouns. Here a few: • Common noun (objects) • Abstract noun (things you can’t touch like idea) • Collective noun (groups) • Proper noun (names of people or places)
