§ Some campus resources we are going to go over today are: § Academic Learning Centers § UTA Libraries What Are Some Campus Resources? § Student Enrollment Services § Campus Housing § UTA Health Center § Counseling and Psychological Services § Student Affairs Resources § Computer Labs and Wireless Resources § Campus Safety

§ There are clinics for different subjects § There also labs for different subjects § Labs/clinics might not be in the same hall as your lecture for that subject § Provide a support system for those who may lack one Academic Learning Centers § Services are guaranteed to you with NO extra cost § Student Support Services § Assists students w/ academic goal setting, preparing for meetings with academic advisors, and provides a support system for the student § University Tutorial and Supplemental Instruction § Second floor of the Central Library

§ There are 3 libraries at UTA § Central Library § AFA Library § SEL Library § They provide quiet areas for studying, if needed UTA Libraries § You can check out any books needed § You can utilize the computers, laptops, and printers they have available § Writing Center is also available to you if you need help with a paper you’re writing for an English course

§ Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration § Register for classes, obtain academic records, and request official transcripts Student Enrollment Services Located in Davis Hall § Student Accounts § First floor of Davis Hall (west side of campus) § Make payments for tuition and fees § Financial Aid and Scholarships § Learn or obtain scholarships, grants, work-study opp. , and loans § FAFSA

§ You can find this in the UC; it’ll be on the way to the plaza Campus Housing Locate in the UC from the cafeteria on the right side § They help you complete any lease agreements either for residence halls or campus apartments

§ Health Center provides FREE appointment scheduling for anything § If you end up having to get medication while being there, an x-ray, or a sample of anything sent off to a lab, then you have to pay § If you don’t want to pay just then, they can put the charge on you My. Mav account which will give you 30 days to pay the charge UTA Health Center Located across from COBA building § If you have student insurance then you usually get discounts for certain things § Free flu shots § Getting test done here is cheaper than going to a Care. Now or an ER § Can use the health center as a way to get immunizations for the nursing program § I got my Tdap shot there and it was $53 as appose to it being over $100 going to a Care. Now

§ Provide counseling assistance for anyone who needs it § First 6 1 -hour sessions are free, after that you have to start paying the session fees Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Located in Ransom Hall 303 OR MAC 212 § CAPS services include individual, group, or couples counseling § Free screenings for many things like bipolar, eating disorders, anxiety and depression, and more § They also do screenings for ADHD and other learning disabilities § They also hold group meetings and workshops for the entire university § If you need to talk to anyone at any given time: § Mavs Talk 24 Hour Crisis Line Call § 817 -272 -8255
