PRACTICAL LESSON u. Ways We Are the Same and Different u(School Connectedness) u. Provide students with an opportunity to discover ways they are similar and different and to appreciate diversity across the class. u Goal u Help students recognize ways that classmates are the same and different from one another and value the differences that make us unique.

Action Adapted from the “Ways We Are the Same and Different” u. Introduce the

Action Adapted from the “Ways We Are the Same and Different” u. Introduce the following activity, called “Stand Up/Sit Down. ” Explain that you will make a series of statements. If the statement is true for them, ask them to stand up. After each statement ask students to look around to notice who is standing and who is sitting in order to see what they can learn about each other. Have everyone sit down and then share the next statement.
