AIMS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REGULATIONS/ NEW DEVELOPMENTS TOURS To create a sense of awareness and belonging for the city’s heritage among the local community - and among students in particular - and thereby generate social responsibility for their preservation To facilitate the preparation of guidelines on impact assessment of new building activities on heritage buildings and sites; To design and promote heritage tours of Calicut and its environs To canvas support for adopting heritage regulations and preparation of a heritage manual

Archived proceedings are available online. We invite an eminent speaker in some area connected with the history of Kerala/Calicut to deliver the annual Prof. K. V. Krishna Ayyar Lecture on 3 rd November of every year. We award the annual Prof. K. V. Krishna Ayyar scholarship to a researcher (M. Phil or Ph.
