First you need to create a Cal State Apply Account click Create an Account
Create Account Type in your personal information
Contact Information Enter your contact info: 1. Add your Email Address 2. Confirm Email 3. Add Phone Number Preferred Phone Number must be cell number 4. Choose text msg. preference
Username & Password 1. Create a Username 2. Create a Password 8 characters and contain at least one letter & one number or special character 3. Confirm Password 4. Create Security Question/Answer 5. Read Terms and Conditions 6. Click Create my Account
Complete Your Profile Education: 1. Level of Degree Choose Undergraduate 2. Choose Graduating High School Senior 3. Have you taken college credit through college or university? • Click Yes or No 4. Have you previously attended a CSU campus Click No
US Military Status US Citizenship 1. Enter Military Status 2. Enter US Citizenship Status
Start Your Application
Select Programs 1. Choose Campus using pull down menu 2. Choose Term (fall) All programs at the campus selected will be listed.
Choose Program click next to the campus/program you want to choose.
Choose Program Click I am Done, Review My Selection when you have added all your campuses & programs
Review Your Program Selections Click on Continue to My Application or choose Add More Programs (top left of screen) to additional campuses

Important things to know when entering courses… • Enter Middle School courses as 9 th grade (Languages & Math) • Summer School courses are entered into the year/grade level you were going into the next school year i. e. Summer School between grade 10 and 11 is entered as grade 11 • Only enter the best grade you received if you took a course over i. e. You took Geometry, you received a D in the Fall and a F in the Spring. You retook the course in Summer School for session 2 and got a B. You would only enter the Fall D and the Summer B
High School Coursework: Begin by Adding a Grade Level • • Start with Grade 9 Select School Select Academic Year Click Include Summer box if you attended summer school All Middle School courses should be added in the 9 th Grade Click on the green check

Now Add a Course • Use your transcript to begin adding all a-g courses for 9 th grade (P next to title) • Start typing course and choose from drop down menu • Add grades by semester • Course type is None unless it is a Honors or AP course • If the course is not listed check with you counselor to make sure you are entering it correctly! Click on the green check
High School Coursework: Great! Now Add a Course • Use your transcript to begin adding all a-g courses for 9 th grade (P next to title) • Start typing course and choose from drop down menu • Add grades by semester • Course type is None unless it is a Honors or AP course • If the course is not listed check with your counselor to make sure you are entering it correctly! High School Coursework: Great! Now Add a Course • Once you enter all your 9 th grade courses • click + Add Grade Level • Add 10 -11 grade courses • Add 12 grade courses, for Fall semester grade type “In Progress” for Spring grade type “Planned”
A-G Matching: When you have completed all of your course entry you will click on A-G Matching on the blue menu You need to have the right number of courses in each subject area (A-G) If a course is not showing in the correct area click: Update A-G Courses You must have all the A-G subjects fulfilled or your application will be denied!
A-G Matching: If a course is not showing in the correct A-G subject area click: Update A-G Courses Find the course that is incorrect and change the A-G box to the correct area i. e. Spanish 2 is showing as G (elective) and should be E (Language Other than English)
Standardized Testing: Choose Standardized Tests on the Blue Menu to the left Find the test you have taken or are planning to take and enter the scores & information Click: Save This Test
AP (Advanced Placement) Choose AP (Advanced Placement) on the Blue Menu to the left Enter any AP Scores you have taken Click: Save and Continue
CLEP & IB These are other types of tests that you most likely have not taken. If you have enter scores, if not go to the section and click No Conti After you click No scroll to the bottom and click You can not submit your application unless you do this!
Supporting Information Click on My Application at the top of the screen and choose Supporting Information
Supporting Information: Achievements are optional and you may skip ahead by clicking I Am Not Adding Any Achievements reported will not be used during the consideration of you application for admission.
Supporting Information: EOP Recommendations If you are applying for EOP (previous section) you need recommendations. Click Create EOP Recommendation Request to request a recommendation from someone If you are not applying to EOP click: I Am Not Adding Any EOP Recommendations
Supporting Information: EOP Recommendations You must create at least 2 EOP Recommendation Requests You can check the if the recommendation has been completed by your recommenders here.
Almost Done!! When you have completed all parts of the application return to the Dashboard or click on My Application at the top of the page. If all of the boxes are green you have completed all sections!
Submit Application Click the Submit Application tab at the top of the screen Review the campuses you have selected and either Submit All or submit each campus
