SITUATION SUMMARY Cal OES Activation Status State Operations Center Inland Regional EOC Coastal Regional EOC Southern Regional EOC Level 1 Normal Operations Level 3 Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) The Cal OES State Operations Center (SOC) activated 03/02/20 at 0700 hours in support of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Medical Health Coordination Center’s (MHCC) statewide response to COVID-19. Cal OES will continue to provide resource coordination for the COVID-19 event, as well as situation status reporting and advance planning across multiple areas. Situation Overview • California State of Emergency Proclamation On 03/04/20, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a State of Emergency for California, as a result of the global COVID-19 outbreak that began in December 2019, to make additional resources available, formalize emergency actions already underway across multiple state agencies and departments, and help the state prepare for broader spread of COVID-19. • Executive Order N-33 -20 On 03/19/20, the California State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health ordered all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence, except as needed to maintain Continuity of Operations of the Federal critical infrastructure sectors. • Global Health Advisory On 03/19/20, the U. S. Department of State issued a Global Health Advisory at Level 4 (Do Not Travel) due to the global impact of COVID-19. • FEMA-4482 -DR-CA On 03/22/20, President Trump approved Major Declarations FEMA-4482 -DR-CA (DR-4482) for the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Governor’s Proclamation can be found here. • On 08/22/20, President Trump issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration and ordered Federal aid to supplement State, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by wildfires beginning on 08/14/20, and continuing. • On 08/26/20, the U. Coy’s Equestrian Center (14280 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills) Road Closures State Route 142 was closed to westbound traffic at Carbon Canyon Rd /in Chino Hills/ due to a wildfire.
