C 6 fix on Tower A Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope Tracker Flex Cable MRB January 4, 2005
The inner shipping container is opened The –Y sidewall of the inner shipping container is removed. Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
The removal of the sidewall begins Short between CLK_M and GND continuously monitored by means of V source/picoammeter connected to the corresponding pins of a breakout box. At the beginning I~0. 9 m. A for 10 m. V input voltage (~10 Ohm). Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
The short disappears Approximate location of termination resistors Current drops down to ~0. 5 n. A (~20 MOhm) after the screws on the top-left corner of the sidewall have been removed. The picoammeter is disconnected and the removall of the sidewall is completed. Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
Removal of the sidewall is completed After the sidewall has been removed a quick functional test has been succesfully performed. Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
The tape is applied Kapton tape is applied *without* disconnecting the cable. Kapton tape Resistors Foam Flex cable Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
Sidewall back in place The sidewall is put back in place (with no solithane on the screws) and the inner shipping container is closed as to begin the CPT – it’s running right now. The process went very smoothly: perfect correspondence between sidwall holes and tray inserts; running torque very low. Tracker Flex Cable MRB – January 4, 2005
