Our Invention Our invention is called the corc. It is different to a normal cork as it is mouldable and will slowly move back into its original shape after pressure is taken off. What happens when you do not finish can of drink? • Gulp it down in one • Throw it away • Let it to go flat ( our prototype) No. CORC IT! You can squish the corc into a shape small enough to fit in a can hole. This means that when you put it in place it will move back into it’s original shape and therefore sealing the can for when you next need a drink later on. The corc is waterproof and when sealed, stops the drink from going flat.
Dimensions and looks The corc is ‘ 1. 5 in’ tall (3. 81 cm) and the diameter is 1 in (2. 54 cm). The corc compresses to about ‘ 1 in’ tall and ‘ 0. 5 in’ thick (1. 27 cm). 1. 5 in 3. 81 cm 1 in 2. 54 cm 0. 5 in 1. 27 cm
Material The corc is made of moldable silicone to allow it to compress into a small cylinder and fit inside a can of drink. Mouldable silicone is a type of rubber which can be moulded. It is the same material used to make earplugs, for when you cannot sleep. Earplugs Mouldable silicone is a very strong material which means the corc will not break easily and cannot be eroded over a long period of time.
Costing This product is a simple design and therefore costs a minimum price at exactly £ 2. 00 including VAT. The pricing table is displayed below.
