By: Sage Williams By Randy Pausch Randy was a professor at Carnedie Mellon. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, and was told he only about 7 months to live. He was married to Jai and had three kids; Logan, Chloe, and Dylan. He was nice to people and even though he was dying, he never acted like it. He was a strong person, and I think it would have been cool to meet him. He died at the age of 47.
* Dreams and goals are what you want out of life the most more than anything in the world, and that no one can change your mind about. It stays with you and your thoughts the moment you start thinking about it, and you hold it close, hoping, and working hard, to make that goal, or dream a reality. Some dreams from the book, that Randy possessed, were… * Being in zero Gravity (check) * Playing in the NFL * Authoring an article in the WBE (check) * Being Captain Kirk * Winning stuffed animals (check) * Being a Disney Imagineer (check)
People can see things in different ways, weather it is small or big, there all kinds of ways to look at something. Like if someone said they were going to tell you bad news and after they finished, you may think of it as good news. In the book I think a way to put an example to this would be, when Randy poured soda all over the back seat of the car. People may see that as him being a slob, but others, including Randy, think that he is teaching a lesson that, things will get dirty at some point so don’t worry if you get a little messy. The item isn’t the important thing, it is the safety of the people who are there and that it will be ok in the end. http: //www. encyclopediacenter. com/ http: //www. glogster. com/jdeav/deaver-randy-pausch-board/ http: //www. deccanchronicle. com/ http: //www. spaceadventures. com/ http: //www. lovemarks. com/ http: //www. cs. cmu. edu/ http: //www. freysmiles. com/ W.
