NOAH • Genesis 6
• Noah lived in a day in which man is graphically described as “wicked” and when “every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”

• From Ancient Near Eastern records to nautical practices as recent as the 19 th century,
• sailors the world over used doves, ravens, and other birds to help them find and navigate toward land.
• A raven will fly directly toward land, so it’s line of flight can be used as a guide.
• Doves have a limited ability for sustained flight, so they can be used to determine the location of a landing site. As long as the dove returns, no landing site is in close range.
• The Length to Hight to Width ratios have been used to build boats/ships for millennia.

• Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Genesis 6: 9

• So, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed two days longer in the place where he was. Hebrews 11: 6
• It took Noah 120 years to build the Ark, and during that time he waited for God and exercised his faith
• God may be slow but he is never late!
• In the New Testament, Noah is described as a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2: 5)
• The years in which the ark was being prepared highlighted God's great patience with wicked humanity (1 Peter 3: 20).
• but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
• they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isa. 40: 31

• Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again. ” Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day. ”
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, John 11: 23 -25 •
Do you believe this? ” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world. ” John 11: 26 •
• Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
• In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3: 5, 6
• I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
• And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal. 2: 20
• Biblical Faith is believing in God; His promises, His faithfulness, His character, which bring HOPE;
• Every time we exercise our faith it is a decision to trust in God’s promises, character and faithfulness!
• What is Biblical Faith? • Why is it important? • How does it change people? • How does it empower people to live?
• Faith gives you stability to live life in honor of God;
• When others don’t or won’t; • When life is hard and difficult;
• For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world —our faith. 1 John 5: 4
