The Soviets occupied the Eastern Zone of Berlin, Germany. Eventually, they would build a wall separating Germany into Eastern and Western Sections. The Soviets also claimed the Eastern European nations of Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania.
