Activation Triggers for DOC When an Emergency Response requires coordination and support for health or medical services at the operational area level Potential Triggers 1. Program or Division has exhausted all resources on a response 2. Evacuation Orders 3. Local Hospital or Healthcare facility evacuation 4. Shelter activation
DOC Levels of Activation 1. SURVEILLANCE The incident or event can be effectively managed by day-to-day operations. 2. PARTIAL ACTIVATION Incident management complexity is increased and staffing of the DOC is warranted to provide adequate support for field operations, local healthcare provider operations, local/OA EOC operations, or RDMHS resource requests. 3. FULL ACTIVATION Incidents are of such magnitude that coordination of the response(s) at the scene or another location is not possible.
